This impressive Antique French Iron & Nickel Plated Baker’s Stand, stamped by Dubois of Lyon, dates to the late 19th century and represents a remarkable example of French industrial craftsmanship. Originally designed for use in traditional boulangeries, these substantial racks were prized for their durability, generous storage, and striking decorative detailing.
The piece features five open shelving tiers above two large lower bins, offering both practical storage and beautiful display space. Intricate wrought iron scrollwork adorns each section, while decorative wheat medallions across the top celebrate the rack’s bakery heritage. The original maker’s mark, stamped into the iron frame and reading “Dubois Constructeur, Rue Mollier 18 Lyon,” further confirms its authenticity and provenance.
