This elegant lantern was designed for candles, but there are many uses for it, including as a plant pot or simply as a small bowl once you remove the glass.

The idea behind our lantern was born one summer’s evening, as Eldvarm founder Louise sat with friends by the outdoor fireplace in her family’s summerhouse in southern Sweden. One friend, who loved the wood basket Emma, was convinced that the same shape could also be utilised for a lantern for candles.

Designer Emma Olbers was given the brief and this hurricane lantern was the beautiful result.⁠ Although it was designed to be used with a candle, our lantern can also be used as a flower or plant pot (keep the outer pot and don’t fill with water above the lower edge of the leather) or a small bowl if you remove the glass. We love to mix and match the colours.

Materials:

The Forêt version combines a green powder-coated steel base with “Forêt” leather, hand blown glass and details in solid brass.

A flat delivery fee of $19 applies to all orders. Large, fragile, or bulky items may require an additional freight quote.

Freight Quotes for Large or Remote Deliveries

Oversized, bulky, or fragile items — or deliveries to remote locations — may need a separate freight quote. We'll be in touch within 48 hours of your purchase. If you decide not to proceed with the quoted cost, a full refund will be issued before dispatch. Please note that once a freight quote has been accepted and the item delivered, it cannot be refunded.

Returns & Exchanges

1. When can I return an item?

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unused, unworn, undamaged products with tags attached and proof of purchase.

Return postage is the customer’s responsibility. Items that qualify for a return are issued as credit notes* (valid for 3 years). To use your credit note, please contact our Moss Vale store at (02) 4868 2662.

*Credit Notes

A credit note for the same value will be issued, valid for 3 years from the issue.  As credit notes cannot be used to purchase online, the customer must contact the Moss Vale Store on 02 4868 2662 to make purchases using credit.

SAH will use the Customer's Credit Note in the first instance for any purchases made at Suzie Anderson Home until cleared.

While every effort is made by our staff to identify and apply available credits at the time of sale, it is the customer’s responsibility to retain and present their credit note for redemption within its three (3) year validity period.

2. What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?

Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and descriptions. We’ll endeavour to repair or replace the item. If that’s not possible, a full refund will be issued. Refunds are not available for change of mind.

3. Are there items I can’t return?

Yes, the following are not returnable:

  • Sale or clearance items (unless faulty and not disclosed)
  • Antique, vintage, or handmade items (natural variations are part of their character)
  • Undergarments, jewelry, watches (unless faulty)
  • Custom-made or made-to-order items

4. Do you allow editorial/styling loans?

Yes, with conditions:

  • Full payment required at pick-up
  • Item must be returned in original condition within 7 days
  • Editorial credit must be agreed upon prior to use
  • Full refund issued upon safe return, otherwise may be withheld
