The word Makaua, in the ancient Nahuatl language, means “from hand to hand” or “the act of giving a hand”—a tribute to the community spirit behind each creation. More than 500 artisan families are part of this ongoing story, earning a dignified, steady income through their craft.

  • Returns & Credit Notes: Items may be returned within 14 days if unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags and receipt.
  • Credit notes are valid for 3 years and can be redeemed via our Moss Vale store. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense.
  • Refunds: Refunds are only issued for items that arrive damaged or defective. Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos via email.
  • Refunds are not offered for change of mind.
